Class size is extremely limited and competitive. Students interested in percussion must try out all the instruments on selection night so that they have a secondary choice in case they are not selected for Percussion. ♫ It is very important to choose an instrument that physically suits your child. There are certain physical characteristics that make playing some instruments more difficult and others easier. We want each child to have the greatest chance of success. ♫ We will attempt to balance each musical group. Playing in an orchestra or band that has a balanced number of the individual instruments is a great deal more enjoyable than playing in one that has too many of one instrument and not enough of another. ♫ Help your child keep an open mind in exploring your choices and have several possibilities in mind. Every child should choose an instrument that interests them; however, it has been our experience that there are several instruments that would be enjoyable for each person.
